On one hand ISRO scientists are engaged in launching Gaganyaan. On the other hand, the central government is busy cutting the salary of ISRO scientists. The Central Government, in an order issued on 12 June 2019, stated that the incentive grant amount being given to ISRO scientists and engineers as two additional increments since the year 1996 is being discontinued.

एक तरफ इसरो वैज्ञानिक गगनयान की लॉन्चिंग में लगे हैं। दूसरी तरफ केंद्र सरकार इसरो के वैज्ञानिकों की सैलरी काटने में लगी है। केंद्र सरकार ने 12 जून 2019 को जारी एक आदेश में कहा है कि इसरो वैज्ञानिकों और इंजीनियरों को साल 1996 से दो अतिरिक्त वेतन वृद्धि के रूप में मिल रही प्रोत्साहन अनुदान राशि को बंद किया जा रहा है।
