A few Sri Lanka cricketers have refused to travel to Pakistan for the limited-overs Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2019 series. This series will feature six matches, consisting of three ODIs and three T20 Internationals. The tour is scheduled to begin around September and October this year. There will also be two Test matches, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates. The change in venue was necessary because Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) didn’t accept Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) request to arrange the games in Pakistan.

श्रीलंकाई क्रिकेट टीम के कई सीनियर खिलाड़ी सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर पाकिस्तान दौरे पर जाने से कतरा रहे हैं। श्रीलंका को सितंबर-अक्तूबर में पाकिस्तान दौरे पर सीमित ओवरों की सीरीज खेलनी है। मीडिया रिपोर्टों के मुताबिक वनडे टीम के कप्तान दिमुथ करुणारत्ने, टी-20 कप्तान लसिथ मलिंगा और पूर्व कप्तान एंजेलो मैथ्यूज जैसे सीनियर खिलाड़ियों ने पाकिस्तान दौरे पर जाने से इनकार किया है। इस संबंध में 9 सितंबर को एक बैठक होने की उम्मीद है। बता दें कि साल 2009 में पाकिस्तान दौरे पर गई श्रीलंकाई टीम की बस पर लाहौर में आतंकियों ने हमला कर दिया था।
