Pangilinan warns retailers vs jacking up rice prices
  • 5 years ago
Presidential assistant for food security Kiko Pangilinan warned retailers against jacking up the price of rice indiscriminately. While the tight supply has caused prices to rise, he said the price hikes should not go overboard. Pangilinan made the rounds of the Commonwealth market on Monday morning to inspect the prices of rice and other goods. After conducting a taste test, Pangilinan also vouched for the quality of NFA rice, which he says is similar to commercial rice but costs P10 cheaper per kilo. ANC News Now, June 23, 2014
