MANILA -- Actress Sunshine Cruz has filed a petition seeking the annulment of her 13-year marriage to actor Cesar Montano. Appearing on the morning show "KrisTV" on Monday, Cruz said she filed the petition before Holy Week. "Para naman bago ako mag-40 makahanap ako ng kaligayahan ko," Cruz, 36, told host Kris Aquino. The actress said she has decided to move on. "Remember the last time na sinabi mo sa akin was kapag nandoon na siya sa age na hindi na siya masyadong active eh magbabalikan na lang kayo, dahil 'yun lang naman ang naging problema talaga," Aquino reminded Cruz, who replied: "Hindi na pagod na ako. Okay na ako." Cruz and Montano broke up after the actor's alleged affair with model Krista Miller. In the interview, Cruz also expressed disappointment that Montano has not been visiting their children as often. "Mayroon siya every day visitorial rights. Ang problema nga nakakatatlong visits pa lang siya sa mga bata, tatlo o apat magmula nang nangyari 'yung full custody sa akin last year December yata," she said. She also revealed that Montano has failed to provide financial support tto his children. "Sa ngayon ang order ng court is for him to pay the tuition of the children and 'yung mga school supplies at nung nagre-rent ako ng bahay P55,000 a month ibinibigay niya 'yun lang. Up to now, dahil hindi pa din kami nagkakaroon ng hearing, 'yun pa din. So I am asking, I was requesting nga him, the secretary, to at least naman magpadala naman kayo ng bacon, hotdog, baon ng mga bata, makita man lang na 'o padala ng tatay niyo yan.' Para naman ma-feel ng mga bata na naalala pa din kami ni daddy," Cruz said. "I always tell the kids to message him every day. Sabi ko 'yun lang ang order ko sa inyo -- to always say hello to dad and that you love him. Kasi siyempre gusto ko na malaman niya at ma-remind siya may tatlo siyang anak sa akin," Cruz said. "Ako I understand, I wish him well. Ako every night I pray for him and 'yung mga kids ko nga very surprised ako with my eldest -- she's 12 -- nag-lead ng prayer. Sabi niya, 'Dear Lord, I hope that mom and dad will find the perfect partners that will make them happy.' So ganoon na ang prayer nila. They want me to date pero wala pa nga, wala pa, takot eh," Cruz added. Based on her personal experience, Aquino advised Cruz not to entertain suitors until the annulment case is over. "During the stage of annulment I advise na huwag na muna. Tapusin mo, get everything out of the way para at least walang anything hanging over your head. Kasi mas maganda talaga na may malinis na closure," Aquino said. Asked to comment on reports that Montano is now dating again, Cruz said: "Good for him, I think the more the merrier. Eh kung dun siya masaya. Whatever that will make him happy, I'm happy for him. I just hope that he is happy for me too." Despite her decision to move on, Cruz stressed that she's ready to be friends with Montano. "Sinasabi ko nga any time naman ready ako makipag-friends sa kanya eh. Hindi ko alam bakit ayaw (niya ako i-friend). Kahit magko-kontak sa secretary niya, 'di nakikipag-coordinate ang secretary when it comes to kids, abogado to abogado na lang daw," Cruz said. "Hindi ko nga alam bakit. Basta I'm hoping and praying even the kids naman, basta ang gusto lang nila ay maging happy ako. Gusto nila mag-date ako. Sabi ko, 'We are not in a hurry, anak. Madami pa tayong dapat ayusin,'" Cruz added.
