Toni, Sunshine share thoughts on 'The Legal Wife'

MANILA - Like most Filipinos, some local celebrities also enjoy watching the hit ABS-CBN series "The Legal Wife." "Pinoy Big Brother" host Toni Gonzaga, for one, noted how TV shows that revolve around infidelity are quite popular these days. She said she is watching "The Legal Wife" in an attempt to understand this trend. "Sabi ko, bakit usong-uso ngayon yung istorya na mga other woman, mistress, ng mga kabit. Sabi ko, marami bang kabit sa buong Pilipinas? Marami bang kabit na babae? Ang sabi naman nila sa akin, gusto ng mga tao ang cat fight, medyo interesado sila sa dalawang babaeng nag-aagawan sa isang lalaki," Gonzaga said. Actress Sunshine Cruz, for her part, said she can sometimes relate to the characters in the series. She also praised the performance of the show's lead stars, Angel Locsin, Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales. "Well sa bahay sa mga yaya ko super trending talaga 'yan kasi lagi silang nanonood at di nila nami-miss 'yung 'Legal Wife.' Siyempre minsan may eksena na oops, parang tumatama, and a lot of people are texting me about it, asking me if I watch it. So I just don't reply, parang ano ba," Cruz said. "The Legal Wife" airs weeknights after "Ikaw Lamang."
