The February 14 attack on the convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama that killed 40 security personnel was an 'intelligence failure', a CRPF inquiry has revealed. Multiple media reports on Tuesday published the findings of the probe that vastly differs from what the Narendra Modi government had said earlier about the attack. The CRPF report says that thought there was a general alert about an IED incident. However, the probe said that there was no input about the incident. The CRPF inquiry also pointed out that amid several lapses, one of the key factors that led to high casualties in the attack was the 'length of the convoy'.

जम्मू-कश्‍मीर के Pulwama में हुए आतंकी हमले की आतंरिक जांच रिपोर्ट में इंटेलीजेंस फेल्‍योर होने की बात सामने आई है. सीआरपीएफ के आंतरिक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, 14 फरवरी को CRPF के काफिले पर हमले में खुफिया एजेंसी की विफलता थी. रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, IED से हमले के बारे में सामान्य चेतावनी थी, लेकिन कार से आत्मघाती हमले को लेकर कोई विशेष खतरा नहीं बताया गया था. किसी भी खुफिया एजेंसी ने इस तरह के इनपुट को साझा नहीं किया था.इस हमले में सीआरपीएफ के 40 जवान शहीद हो गए थे. यह रिपोर्ट गृह मंत्रालय के बयान के विपरीत है. गृह मंत्रालय के मुताबिक पुलवामा आतंकी हमला खुफिया एजेंसी की विफलता नहीं थी. 14 फरवरी को सीआरपीएफ के काफिले पर बड़ा आतंकी हमला हुआ था. जांच रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, आईईडी खतरे के संबंध में एक सामान्य चेतावनी जारी की गई थी, लेकिन इतना बड़ा हमला होगा, इसका अंदाजा खुफिया एजेंसियों को नहीं था. रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, घाटी में किसी भी खुफिया एजेंसी ने ऐसे इनपुट साझा नहीं किए थे. गृह मंत्रालय ने खुफिया एजेंसियों की विफलता को सिरे से खारिज कर दिया था.
