Nietes poised to break Elorde's record

MANILA, Philippines – Two division world boxing champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes will eye history when he defends his WBO light flyweight title against Mexican rival Moises Fuentes in Pinoy Pride 25. Nietes has not lost since 2004, and is on course to surpass the record of Pinoy boxing legend Gabriel “Flash” Elorde as the longest reigning Filipino world champion in his weight division. Meantime, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista and WBO international flyweight champion Milan Melindo will also be seeing action in Pinoy Pride 25. -- Mornings @ ANC, April 3, 2014
