Ai Ai says she's 'single, happy and dating'

MANILA – Almost a year after making headlines for admitting that her former husband was physically abusing her, Ai Ai delas is now all smiles as she shared that she is now back to the dating scene. Delas Alas announced last January that she has been officially divorced from Jed Salang, although she has yet to receive a copy of the Las Vegas court decision. In an interview with ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of the 30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies, Delas Alas said she is currently “single and happy and dating.” “Para namang softdrinks [ang love life], ang daming klase, may diet, may zero, may sugar free,” she said in jest. “Pwede naman ako makipag-date sa variety para hindi na painful. Okay na yun para happy happy lang.” The Kapamilya comedienne, however, made it clear that she is not yet ready to enter into any kind of relationship. “No, no. Ayaw ko muna. Yung healing malapit na matapos. Siguro muni-muni muna sa nangyayari sa buhay natin,” she said. Saying she is already happy with meeting new friends, Delas Alas stressed she would rather focus her attention to her upcoming series “Dyesebel.” “Malapit na, sa 17 na siya. Sobra akong excited. Na-miss kong magkaroon ng soap… Nakakatuwa nga ang blessings ni Papa Jesus na walang patid na dumadating ngayon sa atin kaya thankful tayo sa kanya sa lahat lahat,” she said. Aside from her new Kapamilya show, Delas Alas is also grateful for the recognition the PMPC gave her. Delas Alas was one of the actresses given the Dekada award along with Eugene Domingo and Judy Ann Santos.
