MANILA - Pork scam whistle-blower Benhur Luy on Thursday denied that he was fighting with his former lawyer, Levito Baligod, which made him decide to drop him as counsel. Luy said he is facing numerous cases aside from the primary case filed against those involved in the P10 billion pork barrel scam. He reiterated that Baligod had numerous advocacies and did not have enough time for him. "Being the client, kailangan ko yung legal counsel kung haharap ako sa government agency, example, Ombudsman, NBI. Kukuhanan ng statements so kailangang assisted by the counsel. Hindi po siya nakakapunta," he said. Luy, however, denied that he and Baligod had been fighting over his decision to implicate some officials in the pork barrel scam. "Hindi po kami nag-aaway," he said. He also said that it is up to Baligod to answer rumors that he allegedly received bribes not to implicate some administration allies in the pork barrel scam. "Siya po dapat mag answer nun. I think siya dapat ang sumagot," he said. Baligod had earlier denied receiving bribes from administration lawmakers so that they will not be charged in the scam.
