Work started Monday evening on the Skyway Stage 3 on Osmeña Highway from Buendia in Makati to Quirino Avenue in Manila, with traffic jams expected until the project ends in 3 years. The Citra Central Expressway Corp. (CECC) said Osmeña Highway's center island and two southbound inner lanes, which will serve as the work site for the Skyway Stage 3's advance work, will be closed to motorists. Three existing northbound lanes along Osmena Highway will remain open to motorists, while three remaining southbound lanes will also be passable. Motorists using the affected roads especially during rush hours are advised to take alternate routes. An average of 132,000 vehicles pass by the highway daily. - Umagang Kay Ganda, 18 February 2014
