Former Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Cayetano Paderanga said the Philippine economy is poised to continue growing at a brisk pace. In an interview with ANC, Paderanga said the economy's 7.2% GDP growth for 2013 is within the range of expectations. "It is very reasonable and can be explained by the surging growth in the economy and the fundamentals are quite good. There's going to be some clouds, but I think the economy is slated to continue growing at a brisk pace over the short and medium term," Paderanga, now a UP School of Economics professor, told ANC.
