Man shot dead in QC

MANILA – A man was shot dead in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City late evening Monday. The victim, identified as Efren Escarcha, was found dead in San Roque Compound. A spent shotgun shell was found near his body. Residents said Escarcha had been linked to theft incidents and an attempt to grab a jail officer's gun. - Umagang Kay Ganda, 21 January 2014
