'Human trafficking a Palace priority'
MANILA - Malacanang on Thursday said fighting human trafficking remains a priority of the Aquino administration. The Palace is reacting to reports British police have dismantled a pedophile ring operating in the Philippines. The Palace said concerned agencies are addressing the case. "I would like to emphasize our government is determined to stop human trafficking in all its forms and manifestations through concerted action by all concerned government agencies in cooperation with other countries," Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma said. "Even before the publication of this report, the government has already committed itself to doing everything that needs to be done through inter-agency effort, through legislation, and through other administrative measures to stop this trafficking."
