MANILA – After all that she’s been through in the past year, Kim Chiu said she wants to start fresh this 2014 and focus on all the blessings that are coming her way. In an interview with entertainment reporters on Tuesday, Chiu said she would rather not dwell on the negative things that happened in 2013. “Sino ba namang hindi iiwanan ang masasamang nangyari? Doon ka pa rin? Naku baka chaka ka na by 2014. Siyempre naiwan mo na iyon and you’ve already learned your lesson and may alam mo na ang gagawin this 2014,” she said. Among the most talked about headlines involving Chiu in 2013 was when she expressed regret over her “wasted” friendship with Maja Salvador. Chiu was known to be a close friend of Salvador until her the latter admitted to seeing Gerald Anderson. Anderson and Chiu broke up in 2010. Asked if she has already forgiven the people who have wronged her last year, Chiu said: “Oo naman, wala na iyon. Kalimutan na natin lahat ng nangyari. Let’s start the year with happiness and laughter.” “Punong puno ng lessons ang 2013 and a lot to be thankful for. This 2014, hindi ko pa alam kung anong mangyayari sa akin. Maganda naman ang bungad sa akin ng 2014, so siguro tuluy-tuloy,” she added. Chiu’s first project this year is a movie under Star Cinema. Titled “Bride for Rent,” this is Chiu’s second movie with Xian Lim in a lead role. Directed by Mae Cruz, it is set to be shown in theaters nationwide on January 15.
