MANILA – A 13-year-old boy was wounded in a case of indiscriminate firing in Iligan City in Lanao del Norte on Wednesday. The victim was with his grandmother when he was hit by a stray bullet coming from a shotgun in Barangay Bagong Silang at around 2 p.m. The victim's grandmother, Angelita Mendez, said her grandson was hit in the shoulder while they were on their way to her grandson's godfather in Zone 11. Alleged shooter Mark John Balanay and his cohort Reynaldo Terano were arrested. They denied the accusation even if some witnesses saw them playing with the gun moments before the incident. The victim needs to undergo an operation as the bullet remains lodged in his shoulder. – report from Ronnie Enderes, ABS-CBN News Iligan
