MANILA, Philippines – The Health Department has released a list of most dangerous cities for firecracker injuries during the New Year revelry. From 2010 to 2012, Quezon City has recorded the highest number of firecracker-related injuries, putting it on top of the DOH’s list. Not far behind are Pasig, Mandaluyong, Valenzuela, Marikina, Manila and Las Piñas. Health Department Spokesman Eric Tayag is calling on officials of these areas to help prevent any more injuries, and for residents to stop using firecrackers. News Now, ANC, December 29, 2013.
