DepEd non-teaching staff fear lay-offs
MANILA -- Non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) have expressed concerns about their uncertain future. They are seeking answers on the impending rationalization plan, which is the reorganization program that will be implemented across all government agencies. Staff members in redundant and unnecessary posts will be asked to retire in January. Doctors, as well as dental aides, nutritionists and dietitians are also worried for the students since all of them have been asked by the DepEd to retire. The only ones who are staying are nurses and dentists. Mornings @ ANC, December 20, 2013
