MANILA - Jeepney drivers and operators held a strike in Manila Monday to protest the corrupt practices of local traffic enforcers and policemen. Members of Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association of the Philippines (FEJODAP) began their strike at around 5:30 a.m. Monday. Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno said traffic enforcers are only following the strict measures the city government has implemented. Moreno also told the jeepney drivers to abide by the traffic rules to prevent being caught. He said instead of holding a strike, the group should write a formal complaint. - ANC Dateline Philippines, 2 December 2013
