Djokovic crushes Nadal to retain Tour Finals title
  • 5 years ago
MANILA, Philippines – Novak Djokovic sent a strong message to the tennis world as he retained his title at the ATP World Tour Finals with a crushing victory over Rafael Nadal. The Serb dominated from start to finish, winning the pair’s 39th career meeting with surprising ease. Uncharacteristic errors from Nadal allowed Djokovic to seize complete control early in the second set as the world number two looked to be running away with it. Djokovic, who ended the year on a 22-match winning streak, scooped the $1.92-million prize for winning the title undefeated, but the Serb cannot rest as he will play in the Davis Cup Final, which starts on Friday. -- Mornings @ ANC, November 12, 2013.
