MANILA, Philippines – World No. 1 Serena Williams won her 10th title of the year with a straight sets thrashing of Jelena Jankovic in the China Open finals. The top-seeded American broke the eight-seeded Serb twice in the first set, and three times in the second to bag her 73rd win of the season. Jankovic had to take a medical timeout after a game due to a problem with her hip, and eventually failed to win another game upon her return to the court as Williams racked up five games in a row to close out the match.
