Explosions continue to be heard in Zamboanga

Explosions broke out in barangays Sta. Catalina, Sta. Barbara and Mampang overnight. The media is being kept at a safe distance, days after being allowed near the frontlines. There are reports the Crisis Management Committee has tapped Fr. Michael Ufana to help negotiate with the group of Ustadz Habier Malik for the release of the hostages following the priest's release from Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) custody early Friday. -- Dateline Philippines, ANC, September 14, 2013
