NAIA 4 operations back to normal

MANILA - Operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4 are back to normal, a day after non-stop rains and floods hampered travel and forced the cancellations of dozens of flights on Tuesday. Manila International Airport Authority general manager Angel Honrado said most roads leading to the airports are again passable after being submerged in floodwaters on Tuesday. He noted some flights going to Bacolod, Iloilo and Tagbilaran have been delayed but they have not received reports on cancelled flights. About a fourth or 150 of 600 daily flights at the NAIA were cancelled Tuesday due to heavy rains and severe flooding. "So far it is back to normal. We're trying to undo the damage done yesterday. Hopefully, the weather clears up and we can normalize flights today," he said. ANC Dateline Philippines, August 21, 2013
