One of the survivors of MV St. Thomas Aquinas, which sank near Cebu after colliding with another a cargo vessel, recalled how some of the passengers panicked and jumped into the water without life jackets. He said he tried to rescue some of the passengers who did not have life vests. The incident left at least 28 people dead with more than 200 still missing. More than 600 passengers have been rescued. -- Dateline Philippines, ANC, August 17, 2013
