Pro and anti-Brexit demonstrations meet in Westminster

Large anti, and much smaller pro-Brexit demonstrations met in the heart of London today.
The main protest was against Boris Johnson's decision to prorogue (suspend) parliament for longer than usual, just weeks before the UK's scheduled departure from the EU. That began outside Downing Street but spread to nearby areas too.
As tensions rose, the smaller pro-Brexit protest had to be separated from the main anti-Brexit protest by police.
