The final list of NRC is going to be published in Assam on August 31 on the directions of the Supreme Court. About 40 to 41 lakh people of Assam are eagerly waiting for this list to know their citizenship.
In the final draft released in July 2018, around 40 to 41 lakh applicants were dropped from this list. It remains to be seen how many of these people have their names added to the list. But the question is that what will happen to those whose names are not registered in this list?

सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देश पर 31 अगस्त को असम में NRC की फाइनल लिस्ट प्रकाशित होने वाली है। असम के क़रीब 40 से 41 लाख लोग अधर में लटकी अपनी नागरिकता को जानने के लिए इस लिस्ट का बेसब्री से इंतज़ार कर रहे हैं। जुलाई 2018 में जारी अंतिम मसौदे में क़रीब 40 से 41 लाख आवेदक इस लिस्ट से बाहर कर दिए गए थे। अब देखना ये है कि इनमें से कितने लोगों का नाम लिस्ट में जुड़ता है। लेकिन सवाल ये है कि जिनके नाम इस लिस्ट में रजिस्टर नहीं होते हैं उनका क्या होगा ?
