of 2020 Presidential Race.
On Aug. 28, Kirsten Gillibrand
announced her decision to withdraw
from the current presidential race.
In a video posted to Twitter, Gillibrand said it
was “important to know when it’s not your time.”.
I known this isn’t the result that we wanted.
We wanted to win this race. But it’s important to
know when it’s not your time and to know how
you can best serve your community and country, Kirsten Gillibrand, via Twitter.
Gillibrand went on to thank her supporters
and encourage them to keep fighting. .
Our work is not done. And we have clear
mission in front of us. We have to defeat
President Trump, flip the Senate and elect
women up and down the ballot, Kirsten Gillibrand, via Twitter.
Her decision to withdraw comes right after her failure
to qualify for the third round of Democratic debates. .
Qualifying candidates must have 130,000 unique donors as
well as at least two percent support in four qualifying polls. .
Gillibrand only amassed $3 million
in her first fiscal quarter and, according
to RealClearPolitics, fell mostly below
two percent support in 2019.
