Karambir Singh has said that in the year 2012-13, the allocation of the Navy was around 18 percent in the defense budget, which has now been increased to 13 percent. The decision of the government will present challenges in modernizing the Navy.

नेवी चीफ करमबीर सिंह ने कहा है कि भारत आतंकी हमलों से निपटने के लिए तैयार है। लेकिन, नेवी को दिए जाने वाले रक्षा बजट में कटौती से दिक्कत आ रही है। करमबीर सिंह ने कहा है कि साल 2012-13 में एक तरफ रक्षा बजट में नौसेना का आवंटन करीब 18 प्रतिशत था, जिसे अब 13 प्रतिशत कर दिया गया है। सरकार के फैसले से नेवी को आधुनिक बनाने में चुनौतियां आएंगी।
