Into The Amazon, Manu National Park, Madre de Dios, Peru

The DCV cinematography team, Shane Yeager, Celene Di Stasio, & Pooja Gupta adventured into the Amazon rainforest equipped with their trusty Red cinema camera, Angenieux EX series zoom lenses, DJI drone, and a few dry bags for a 2 week excursion capturing flora and fauna around the Cree’s research facility in Manu National Park, Peru.

Traveling 8 hours from Cusco by bus over rocky dirt mountain roads and boat by swift Madre de Dios river currents the video team and their biologist crew made it into the jungle.

Manu is a sprawling region in southeastern Peru, spanning Andean highlands, cloud forest and lowland jungle. It's known for its rich biodiversity, hundreds of bird species, jaguars, black caimans and spider monkeys.

This video is just a sampling of the hours of 5k footage captured during the journey.
