The Quint| “Budget 2017 Lacks Major reforms” Says Opposition

Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the 2017 budget as ‘exemplary’, opposition parties including the Congress and the JDU sought to highlight loopholes in the economic document tabled by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley earlier on Wednesday.
While The Congress’s Mallikarjun Kharge slammed the budget for not paying attention to loans taken by farmers, JDU Leader Ali Anwar questioned Mr. Jaitley’s perceived silence on creation of new jobs in the country.
