Aryabhata satellite celebrates its 42nd anniversary on April 19, 2017

The first Indian satellite in space Aryabhata was launched on April 19, 1975. The satellite was launched from a Russian space station and spent 17 years in space. It was named after the famous mathematician Aryabhata.
