The Quint| Jawans Should Come to Me Directly With Complaints: Army Chief
  • 5 years ago
Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat has urged soldiers to approach the senior leadership of the armed forces directly with their grievances.
Rawat’s announcement – at a press conference on Friday – comes after a few soldiers voiced their complaints via videos that sparked outrage on social media, following which the Home Ministry launched a probe into the matter.

“We are a strong army committed to nation-building and we ensure that we accomplish primary tasks in a professional manner. I want to inform every jawan that if anyone has any grievance, we have a set redressal mechanism in place where they can write to us instead of indirectly communicating via social media,” Rawat said.
