Ravi Shastri has recently been selected as the coach of the Indian cricket team once again. Now he will remain the coach of Team India till 2021 T20 World Cup. He took over the reins of the Indian team as the coach after the 2017 Champions Trophy. The BCCI stamped Shastri's name in a press conference held in Mumbai on 16 August. His previous performance with the team was seen as a key reason behind Ravi Shastri's selection of a coach. However, Ravi Shastri was captain Virat Kohli's first choice as Head coach, which made him front-runner for the post.

रवि शास्त्री को हाल ही में एक बार फिर से भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के कोच के रूप में चुना गया है। अब वो 2021 के टी-20 वर्ल्ड कप तक टीम इंडिया के कोच बने रहेंगे। उन्होंने साल 2017 की चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी के बाद कोच के रूप में भारतीय टीम की बागडोर संभाली थी। बीसीसीआई ने 16 अगस्त को मुंबई में हुई प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में शास्त्री के नाम पर मुहर लगा दी। रवि शास्त्री के कोच चुने जाने के पीछे टीम के साथ उनके पिछले प्रदर्शन को अहम वजह माना गया था। हालांकि कप्तान विराट कोहली की पहली पसंद के रूप में रवि शास्त्री का चुना जाना पहले से तय लग रहा था।
