Volunteers, soldiers paint EDSA wall for peace
  • 5 years ago
The wall surrounding the Philippine army headquarters along EDSA was painted with messages of peace. The project aims to set a new world record for the longest peace-themed mural. More than a thousand volunteers pitched in to turn the four-kilometer wall into a work of art. Even members of the military joined in -- they also expressed their desire to obtain peace amid ongoing tensions in and out of the country. The painting activity will continue along the Boni Serrano Avenue wall on June 1. The wall in White Plains will be painted on June 8. The mural will be inaugurated on June 15.
