MANILA, Philippines – Sergio Garcia is apologizing for his “fried chicken” jibe aimed at world No. 1 Tiger Woods during a European Tour awards dinner. On Tuesday, Garcia was asked if he would be inviting Woods for dinner during next month’s US Open. Garcia answered, “We will serve fried chicken.” Woods, whose relationship with Garcia is frosty at best, was in an unforgiving mood and took to Twitter to express his annoyance at the comment, saying it was wrong, hurtful, and clearly inappropriate.
