Parks 'arguably the best import' in PBA history

MANILA, Philippines – The late Bobby Parks belonged to a different breed of PBA imports, and it is unlikely that local basketball fans will get to see someone like him ever again. Basketball blogger Charlie Cuna said Parks was one of the best – if not the best import – in the history of the PBA, having averaged 40 points and 15 rebounds in his 13-year career. Ronnie Nathanielsz, meanwhile, noted that Parks helped develop the likes of Benjie Paras and Ronnie Magsanoc while playing for Formula Shell in the late 1980s to the late 1990s. Parks recently passed away after a long battle with laryngeal cancer. -- Mornings @ ANC, April 4, 2013
