Pair cycling from London to Tokyo to help kick off 2019 Rugby World Cup

A British pair have embarked on an epic cycle ride from London to Tokyo to deliver the golden whistle that will start the 2019 Rugby World Cup. The duo, Ron Rutland and James Owens, started their journey from Twickenham, the site of the 2015 Rugby World Cup final, on February 2, 2019. They are heading to Tokyo Stadium where the opening game of the 2019 tournament, Japan v Russia, will be held. The 20,093-kilometre ride will take 231 days, span 27 countries and two continents.
