Andrew Yang for President.
On Twitter, the Tesla CEO wrote,
"I support Yang," in reference to a
recent post by the 2020 candidate.
Yang, a 44-year-old venture capitalist, entrepreneur and philanthropist, is considered to be a long shot to win the Democratic nomination.
Musk's support could be due to their shared beliefs on universal basic income and automation's
impact on America's economy.
Soon after Elon's Tweet, Yang thanked Musk for the bolster on the social media platform.

In regards to his political affiliations,
Musk confirmed last year that he
is a registered independent.
