Korea tops global shipbuilding orders for 3rd straight month this July

Korea held the number one spot for global shipbuilding orders for the third month in a row in July.
According to shipping industry analysts at Clarkson Research Services, Korea won orders for ten ships totaling 270-thousand compensated gross tons last month, which is almost half the total global output.
China ranked second with 200-thousand CGTs to build 11 ships, followed by Japan with just one.
Korea's top ranking comes amid a dip in global ship orders... which fell by 43-percent on-year last month.
