Antena 3 is a Spanish terrestrial television channel owned by Atresmedia which also owns Onda Cero. It is a private Spanish television channel that broadcasts on DTT and on pay-TV platforms Movistar+, Vodafone TV and Orange TV. It is operated by Atresmedia Televisión, which is part of Atresmedia Corporation, together with other companies such as Atresmedia Radio (Onda Cero, Europa FM and Melodía FM), Movierecord or Unipublic.
Antena 3 began test transmissions on Christmas Day (25 December) 1989, and was officially launched throughout Spain exactly one month later on 25 January 1990 with a programme fronted by journalist Miguel Ángel Nieto, thus becoming Spain's first nationwide private television station.
