The film will star Eddie Murphy as Rudy Ray Moore, the comedian best known for raunchy comedy routines, often in rhyme. Moore's best known creation was the character of Dolemite, who appeared in his stand-up routine as well as a series of blaxploitation films in the 1970s, the first of which being Dolemite.
