Manta Ray caught on camera ingesting plastic rubbish

Multiple manta rays were filmed swimming surrounded by plastic rubbish in Bali, Indonesia, in 2014.
The rays appeared to be ingesting some of the waste while surface feeding in the ocean around Nusa Penida, a small island off Bali.
"Plastic is a huge problem for wildlife in this area which is at the convergence of two oceans" (Indian and Pacific), writes the filmer.
The footage was filmed in 2014 but Bali is still grappling with the problem, which has been declared an annual "trash emergency" by local authorities.
