National Assembly to hold session after completion of extra budget bill review

A plenary session scheduled for Thursday afternoon at South Korea's National Assembly continues to be delayed.
The full floor meeting had initially been scheduled for 2PM, Korea time,... to finally vote on the multi-billion dollar extra budget proposal but the budget committee is still deliberating.
The budget bill, worth around 5-point-7 billion U.S. dollars, was submitted in late April... to tackle downside economic risks... and support recovery efforts following a string of natural disasters.
Rival lawmakers have agreed to add about 230 million dollars to help the government deal with Japan's export curbs,.... but the conservative opposition is demanding large cuts to the overall budget,... given that a part of it is be funded through debt.
If and when Thursday's session takes place,... lawmakers will also vote on bills related to people's livelihoods as well as resolutions urging Japan to lift its export restrictions,... and condemning the recent military flights by China and Russia that violated Korea's air identification zone.
