Birth Control Implant Dislodged From Woman's Arm, Migrates To Lung
  • 5 years ago
A 31-year-old Portuguese woman's Implanon NXT birth control implant was inserted into her upper arm.
But according to Business Insider, it moved and ended up in her left lung.
To remove the implant, doctors performed surgery. The woman didn't have any complications following the procedure.
This isn't the first time someone's birth control implant moved to a different area of their body.
Fortunately, the chances of this happening are still rare.
