Dwayne Johnson Marches With Protestors in Hawaii The 'Hobbs & Shaw' star was in the state
to support demonstrators opposed to
telescope construction on Mauna Kea. The former WWE superstar-turned actor also lived in Hawaii as a teenager. Protestors say Mauna Kea,
the tallest mountain in
the 'Aloha State,' is sacred land. Those opposed add that the area already has multiple telescopes. The ongoing protests are just the latest to halt construction, which originally was slated to start a few years ago. According to CNN, the telescope
costs $1.4 billion and will be
over 30 meters long. Local reports say that 'The Rock' is even offering to help out with negotiations to settle the conflict. Dwayne Johnson, via CNN
