Bipartisan Proposal Announced By Senators For Lower Drug Prices

A bipartisan proposal was announced by the U.S. Senate Finance Committee to lower prescription drug prices, says Reuters. The proposal could save $100 billion in costs to government healthcare programs. The committee has been working on the proposal to “address the broken prescription drug supply chain” for six months.
"This legislation shows that no industry is above accountability,” the committee said. A spokesman said the White House was encouraged by the bipartisan package.
