The Weeknd Joins Cast of
Adam Sandler's 'Uncut Gems' The singer will make his big-screen debut when he stars opposite Sandler in the upcoming Safdie Brothers film. Sandler will portray a jewelry store owner whose life gets turned upside down following a robbery. The Weeknd's role
is not yet known. Idina Menzel will play the long-suffering
wife of Sandler's tumultuous character. Judd Hirsch will also star in the Netflix
movie as Sandler's father-in-law. Eric Bogosian and Lakeith Stanfield are among the supporting cast.
