As Hong Kong Teems With Protestors, Apple Shuts, Closes Down Stores Early
  • 5 years ago
Apple has shut its stores or closed them early in Hong Kong, amid mounting unrest and a night of violence.
According to Gizmodo, demonstrators have taken to the streets for seven straight weeks there.
The protests are in response to a proposal by the authoritarian Chinese government to allow extradition of Hong Kong residents to the mainland.
Such extradition would all but guarantee Hong Kong residents in its infamously unfair judicial system.
