The UK’s Conservative Party has selected Boris Johnson to be the party’s new leader, meaning he will be Britain's next prime minister.  The former UK foreign secretary’s selection confirms he will replace Theresa May per July 24, 2019, who resigned as PM after her Brexit strategy was voted down three consecutive times in three years.  Tory party members eligible to vote for the new UK leader handed Johnson a win with 92,153 votes over 46,656 for his opponent, Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
