S. Korea's ICT exports fall 22% y/y in June

Data from the Korea Customs Service suggests the country's exports could fall for the eighth month in a row after dropping 14 percent on-year in the first 20 days of July.
Chip exports, which account for almost a fifth of South Korea's total shipments, slumped 30 percent... and petrochemical goods exports were down more than 15 percent.
Shipments to China and the EU fell by double digits, and exports to the U.S. dropped five percent.
Another report by Seoul's trade ministry shows outbound shipments of ICT goods plunged over 22 percent on-year to 14-point-eight billion U.S. dollars in June.
Exports of semiconductors plummeted 25 percent on falling global demand.
