Two more F-35A stealth fighter jets have arrived at South Korea's Cheongju Air Base from Luke Air Force Base in Arizona,... further boosting the South Korean Air Force's ability to evade radar detection.
The Air Force said Tuesday that the new arrivals come after its first two F35-As arrived in late March.
Following a 2014 contract with the jet's manufacturer Lockheed Martin, South Korea plans to deploy 40 F-35As by 2021 at a cost of around six-and-a-half billion U.S. dollars.
The Air Force says it plans to have around ten F35-As ready for combat by the end of 2019.
